Follow the World Health Organization's instructions to reduce your risk of infection:

1/ Frequently clean hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

2/ When coughing and sneezing cover mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue - throw issue away immediately and wash hands.

3/ Avoid close contact with anyone that has fever and cough.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres is just about to deliver the Nelson Mandela Lecture. He has chosen as his topic inequality. He will break with the usual careful UN language and tell it straight:

Covid, Guterres will say has “laid bare risks we have ignored for decades [and] exposed fallacies and falsehoods everywhere: the lie that free markets can deliver healthcare for all, the myth that we are all in the same boat.”

“Covid has exposed the myth that we are all in the same boat. For while we all float on the same sea, it is clear that some are in luxury yachts, while others are clinging to debris”

How to get to a more equal society?

The UN Secretary-General is clear: a more equal society will not be given by elites, it is instead being won by social movements including Black Lives Matter, the young climate justice activists, & trade unions.

This is the new mainstream.
