Ukraine has its third hostage situation in two weeks. Right now in central Kyiv, across from the National Opera, a man says he has explosives inside a backpack and is threatening to blow up a bank. Employees were allowed to leave but bank manager remains inside. Police on site.

The suspect is a 32-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan, according to an Interior Ministry official who also released a photograph of the man inside the bank sitting beside his backpack and the manager.

The suspect has reportedly demanded to speak with media, and police are ushering news crews into the bank, I guess.

It’s over. The security service agents have apprehended the man and cleared the bank.
