1) Nothing like seeing $100b of equity value created at Zoom over the last 9 months to focus the mind.

Google is the biggest underachiever I have ever seen relative to their opportunity set and underlying competitive advantages.

2) Payments, productivity, cloud, messaging.

The list of missed $100b plus opportunities for equity value creation is hard to fit in one tweet.

"A few hundred billion here, a few hundred billion there, pretty soon you're talking real money" to misquote Everett Dirksen.

3) Although $1 trillion of market cap isn't exactly failure 😀 and perhaps success in logical adjacencies would have invited regulatory scrutiny much earlier.

4) Always think of those surveys showing that most consumers could live without Facebook/Amazon/Apple/etc. but almost no one can imagine life without Google.

Really is one of the most essential daily utilities.
