Workers with high salaries can still be pressured to do illegal & unethical things.

“Hey, don’t worry about watching for pedestrians who aren’t in sidewalks.”

(Uber’s self driving car software did not identify pedestrians except when they were in a sidewalks. This software problem killed a woman. The car hit her going 40mph. It didn’t even slow down.)

HR is going to do NOTHING when you report that.

If you’re in software long enough, someone WILL ask you something like this.

So wouldn’t it be nice to have a union that backed you up when you refused?
