1. Privilege isn't just about extreme wealth, it's having the freedom to not worry that you won't have the most basic things in life.

I will never be without a home or health insurance, I won't ever go hungry...that is extraordinary privilege.

2. Because I have always had that privilege, I could take risks, & do things that many couldn't. That gave me a huge advantage, an advantage many people don't have.

Again, I'm not talking about piles of money, simply the concern that I would be w/o a home, insurance, and food.

3. So often those who advocate for or have no issue with unpaid internships don't realize that simply having an unused bedroom in a parent's home that they can go back to is a privilege.

Privilege doesn't mean you have a yacht, it means you always have something to fall back on.
