Your time and energy are precious resources. So it's only wise to spend it on something that will make you exponentially better than where you are right now.

That is why let's focus on when NOT to Webflow. So your choices get better when it comes to web building.

A Thread 🧵

Cliches like “it depends” and statements like “without writing a single line of code” are true for every tool in the No-Code world. And not just Webflow.

Now you may ask, “What is the one reason to use Webflow?”

Unless you are visually developing a well designed, highly customised site, with specific interactions, dynamic content and high production quality, in a relatively short period of time, do not spend your energies on Webflow.

You don't need a bazooka to kill a mosquito.

If you need to just make a simple site, without writing a single line of code, in a short period of time, there are many other web builders available, such as: Squarespace, Duda, Carrd, Unicorn Platform, Dorik, etc.

Complexity Scale: A sneak-peak

Only if NONE of the above tools help your context, consider Webflow as a tool of choice. Webflow may be an overkill otherwise.

To deep dive into this and make more informed web building decisions, we added a 2 week foundation to our upcoming Webflow Intensive CBC, as a bonus.

As part of this, our Web Builder Decision Making Matrix will help you always make informed decisions about web building in various contexts.

Stay tuned for a detailed curriculum in the coming days.
